NWFD TO MARCH IN TWO PARADES IN AUGUST:
In August the New Woodstock Vol. Fire Department will be marching in the Fireman's Field Day parades in Georgetown and DeRuyter. Please check the calender (at left) for details and times.

NWFD MEMBERS ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC IS SAT., AUGUST 21:
On Sat., August21, all New Woodstock Vol. Fire Department current and exempt members and their guest are invited to attend the annual summer picnic at Cheif O'Hara's house, starting about 2pm (rain or shine, we have a bg tent). The Fire Dept. will supply the clams, steaks, salt potatoes, sweet corn, soda and adult beverage. Members are invited to bring a dish to pass. We always have a great time!

NWFD WELCOMES TWO MEMBERS TO FULL MEMBERSHIP:
At the July 6 monthly fire department meeting the vote was unanimous to move members Brandon Whaley and Joe Blackburn from their one year probationary status to full voting membership. In the years time since initially joining they have both completed all the required NYS fire training and have been very active in all facets of the department. We welcome and thank them both!

NWFD ANNUAL BANQUET ON MAY 8TH A SUCCESS:
The New Woodstock Vol. Fire Department held their annual banquet at the Cazenovia Country Club on Sat. May 8th. Attending were 72 people
from the New Woodstock Fire Department, the NW Fire Commissioners, surrounding fire departments cheifs or officers, and their guests.

The Annual 220 Club dance came off without a hitch!
We would like to thank everyone who attended the annual 220 dance at the old school. Everyone had a great time and the band Fully Loaded was great. Several people won hundreds of dollars in the drawings that night, and in the weekly drawings before the dance. Be sure to get your tickets next year to join us for the 2011 party!

2) We have added a page "Emergency Planning Tips" that contains useful information to use in case an emegency or disaster should strike your family or our area. Hopefully this information will never have to be put into action, but as they say: "Fail to plan and plan to fail". Please feel free to print out these pages of tips for easy reference & to use as a checklist.

3) We have added a "Contact Us" page that contains our mailing address
for written correspondence, donations, etc., as well as our other contact information.
