MINUTES
November 14, 2011

The meeting was called to order at 7:36 p.m. by chairman Malcolm Williams.
MINUTES: The minutes of the October meeting were e-mailed to the members and passed out to the members of the board. After the members present reviewed the minutes, Kyle made a motion to waive the reading of the minutes and to accept them, seconded by Buzzy, motion passed unanimously by all members present.
TREASURER’S REPORT: The treasurers’ report was passed out with the minutes. Account Balances are as follows:
Repair Fund: $24,821.49 Vehicle Reserve Fund: $64,763.40
Building Reserve Fund: $12,526.90 CD $ 5,746.08
Savings Account: $90,675.42 Checking Account $ 9,892.72
Savings CD $13,950.14 Total Checking/Savings/Reserves: $222,389.31
Mary presented the Abstract of Claims #11-11 for the approval of the payment of bills. Malcolm made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and to pay the bills, seconded by Kyle, motion passed by all board members present .
Mary reported that the election notice was sent out to the papers for publication.
Correspondence:
Information about FASNY scholarships - gave to Buzzy.
Information about FASNY EMS Seminar – gave to Ron.
Notice about CD – Malcolm made motion to roll over, seconded by Buzzy, motion passed by all members.
Old Business:
Policies – Walt has found several and will go over them and report back next month.
Electrical inspection No one has been hired at this time. Suggestions were made.
New Business-
There is training in Whitesboro which is $25.00 per person. Malcolm made a motion to reimburse the fee to those members who attend. Seconded by Buzzy, motion passed by all members present..
Ron stated that there is no draining on the side of the building where the house was taken down. It slopes toward the firehouse. Malcolm will have someone from the fire department look at it to se if anyone can do anything with it. It was noted that the ice machine drains out on that side. Malcolm stated that the County was shouldering on Juddville Road and perhaps he could get some fill from there.
Cleaning. – Ron complained about the floors after parties at the fire house and them not being cleaned up.. He wants a key available to the cleaning cabinet for cleaning supplies. Ron was reminded that anyone using the fire house are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. The janitor is not responsible for cleaning up after parties. Walt will remind the Department at the meeting that the use of the building needs to be cleared through the District for insurance reasons,
Mary asked permission to purchase 200 forever stamps as the postage will be going up. Kyle made a motion to allow the purchase, Malcolm seconded motion. Motion passed by all members present.
There being no further business to discuss, Kyle made a motion to close the meeting, seconded by Buzzy, unanimously passed by all members present. Meeting adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
